Thu, 1st May 2014 Marco Crespi - (Italy) NH Collection Open Sotogrande - Spain - 3rd to 6th April, 2014 After 25 attempts Italian golfer Marco Crespi, as the oldest rookie to win, gained his first European Tour title by two strokes from Jordi Garcia Pinto of Spain and Richie Ramsey from Scotland. With this victory Marco Crespi moved from 200th in the World Rankings to 167th. |
Thu, 1st May 2014 Bubba Watson - (USA) Masters Tournament Augusta - USA - 10th to 13th April, 2014 The popular Bubba Watson won his second Green Jacket after the first being in 2007 and having participating in 41 European Tour events. He ended his final round three strokes ahead of Joan Blixt from Sweden and the very promising rookie 20 year-old Jordan Spieth from the USA. With this win Bubba Watson moved from 28th up to 4th in the World Rankings. |
Thu, 1st May 2014 Lee Westwood - (England) Malaysian Open Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia - 17th to 20th April, 2014 Former number one golfer Lee Westwood showed great style in winning the Malaysian Open on 18 under which was 7 strokes ahead of his nearest rivals, Austrian Bernd Wiesberger, South African Louis Oosthuizen and Belgium Nicolas Colsaerts. This win makes a total of 23 wins on the Tour and places Lee Westwood at 30th place in the World Rankings. |
Thu, 1st May 2014 Alexander Levy - (France) China Open Genzon - Shenzhen - China - 24th to 27th April, 2014 This was the first win on the European Tour for French golfer Alexander Levy having participated in 38 events. He ended up with 19 strokes under par and four strokes ahead of his closest rival Tommy Fleetwood from England. With this victory Alexander Levy moved into 137th place that week on the World Rankings. |
