Golf in Amendoeira

Amendoeira is of little historical importance and more or less remained a small one street village located between the triangle of Silves, Lagoa and Albufeira. It remains as the turning off point to the south for the holiday destination of the beach town of Armacao de Pera.

However, due to the construction of the A22 motorway the access is virtually direct into the village, and also to the two championship courses named the Faldo Golf Course and the O'Connor Golf Course. It is also a short distance from the water park 'Aqualand Algarve' that offers family entertainment during the summer season.

Enjoyable experience
Maybe not as challenging as the Faldo Course but not easy either. Some nice looking holes and an enjoyable course to play.

Challenging but enjoyable.
A tough challenge and definitely a course that makes you think. Course was in great condition too. We had a twilight package (15.30pm) and pretty much had the course to ourselves. Very enjoyable though.

Course in very good condition! We had a lot of fun. Play OConner first and then the Faldo course.

The service in the Clubhouse really is a joke. But I imagine the problems they have in hiring good staff.

We certainly will play Faldo and OConnor a second time
