The original owner of the Algarve's renowned Penina Hotel and Golf Course died on the 15th of March. He was the creator of the very first championship golf course in the Algarve which still enjoys fame today. It is because of his foresight and dedication that the Algarve is today the most foremost destination for golfers in Europe.

European Tour - Bubba Watson

WGC Match Play - Austin - Texas - USA 21st to 25th March, 2018.

Bubba Watson added to his European Tour wins in Austin, Texas, when he played against fellow American Kevin Kisnet. This brought the total of his Tour victories up to four and placed him in 21st place in the World Rankings.

European Tour - Matt Wallace

Indian Open - DLF - New Delhi - India - 8th to 11th March, 2018.

English golfer Matt Wallace won for the second time on the Tour when n India he led the field in a final play-off against fellow Englishman Andrew Johnston. In third place three strokes more was Sihwan Kim from the USA. This victory moved Matt Wallace into 152 position in the World Rankings and 14th in the Race to Dubai.

European Tour - George Coetzee

Tshwane Open - Pretoria - Waterkloof - South - Africa - 1st to 4th March, 2018.

South African golfer George Coetzee claimed his forth win on the Tour in the Tshwane Open in South Africa. In second place was England's Sam Horsefield two strokes more, whilst Finland's Mikko Korhonen gained third place one stroke further back. George Coetzee moved to 99th place in the World Rankings and 20th in the Race to Dubai.

European Tour - Phil Mickelson

Mexico Championship - Chapultepec - Mexico City - Mexico - 1st to 4th March, 2018.

Phil Mickelson added another victory on the Tour in Mexico bringing his total up to ten. It required a play-off with fellow American Justin Thomas, whilst in third position with one extra stroke was Rafa Cabrera Bello and Tyrell Hatton. With this win Phil moved to 18th position in the World Rankings
