Tue, 1st Jan 2013 Scott Jamieson - (Scotland) Nelson Mandela Championship South Africa - 6th to 9th December, 2012 This was Scott Jamieson first win on the European Tour after participating in 65 events and brought him a European Tour exemption until the end of the 2014 season. Importantly this was only his third victory after turning a Professional. It was a well won as he had to fight off both Steve Webster and Eduardo De La Riva, all three golfers having finished 7 under. Eduardo De La Riva was the first to fall away when he bogeyed in the first hole playoff, Steve Webster fell on the second hole. |
Tue, 1st Jan 2013 Charl Schwartzel - (South Africa) Alfred Dunhill Championship Leopard Creek- Malelane - South Africa - 13th to 16 December, 2013 This magnificent 24 under win gave Charl Schwartzel his 8th European Tour title. A 12-shot victory places him in near competition with the remarkable record 15-shot win of Tiger Woods at the 2000 US Open. Not to be ignored is his 11-shot victory in Thailand the previous week. As only the second event in this season he is off to a great start in The Race to Dubai. Gregory Bourdy pressed him all the way until the final hole when he took a double-bogey seven, and letting Kristoffer Broberg move into second place with 12-shots under par. |
