Algarve Golf News August 2014

Fri, 1st Aug 2014
Now is the time for low tee time golf rates in the Algarve! Golfers can play in Vilamoura with the cheapest rate starting at € 44.00 a round, or the Pestana courses with two players plus a Buggy with an inclusive rate from € 100.00. The Boavista course near Lagos is offering a round for two players plus a Buggy for € 103.00, whilst the Morgado/Alamos courses are asking € 85.00 for the same package. Sometimes arranging the tee times on courses in the morning can be a problem in the month of August. This is mainly caused by the many competitions held by local residents for Charities and Organisations in the Algarve. Tee time slots for both September and October are now far and few between with many popular courses on some days completely booked. The definite indication is that this autumn will be unusually busy for all major courses and also for some of the more minor ones. The courses that are being temporary closed due maintenance over the next months are the Laguna from the 4th of August to the 18th of August; the Gramacho from the 12th of August to the 13th of August; and the Old Course from the 18th to the 24th of August.
