Mon, 1st Dec 2014 In this past month of November the Algarve has experienced with more rain that usual but all the courses were open for play every day with very few temporary exceptions. The Oceanico Group have announced that their courses will be closed for maintenance according to the schedule shown below: Christie O'Connor - 19th December to 1st January Nick Faldo - 5th December to 18th December Laguna - 22nd December to 28th December Millennium - 22nd December to 28th December Pinhal - 8th December to 12th December Victoria - 17th December to 2nd January Our Bookings Dept. has already noted that on some days in this coming Spring leading Vilamoura courses are now heavily booked. Players in groups seeking the most agreeable tee times have now limited availability of tee-off times on several days on the main courses. |
Mon, 1st Dec 2014 Marcel Siem - (Germany) BMW Masters Shanghai - China - October 30th to 2nd November, 2014 This win was the fourth on the European Tour for German Marcel Siem after 331 attempts. It was a hard play-off against Englishman Ross Fisher and Frenchman Alexander Levy. Marcel Siem ended placed 66th in the World Rankings and 2nd in the Race to Dubai. |
Mon, 1st Dec 2014 Bubba Watson - (USA) WGC-HSBC Champions Shanghai - China - 6th to 9th November, 2014 The popular American Bubba Watson gained his 3rd European Tour win with only 42 attempts. In a dramatic last round and play-off with South African Tim Clark and fellow American Rickie Fowler, Bubba Watson gained his 2nd victory this season placing him in 4th position in the World Rankings. |
Mon, 1st Dec 2014 Brooks Koepka - (USA) Turkish Open Antalya - Turkey - 13th to 16th November, 2014 The 24 year old American Brooks Koepka gained his first win on the Tour after 28 attempts. He took the victory with one stroke over England's Ian Poulter and three stokes over Sweden's Henrik Stensen. With this victory he moved to 8th in the Race to Dubai and also moved to 35 position in World Rankings. |
Mon, 1st Dec 2014 Xi Yu Lin - (China) Sanya Ladies Open China - 14th to 16th November, 2014 Chinese new promising star 18 year old Xi Yu Lin finished with a five strokes victory of her nearest rival being 18 year old Charley Hull from England and winning her first major title. This victory placed her in 30th position in the Handa Order of Merit. |
Mon, 1st Dec 2014 Henrik Stenson - (Sweden) Dubai Tour Championship Dubai - United Arab Emirates - 20th to 23rd November, 2014 Sweden's Henrik Stenson gained his 9th European Tour win defending his 2013 Dubai title and having participated in 297 Tour events. Henrik Stenson was held off by 2 strokes formidable Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy, England's Justin Rose and France's Vitor Dubuisson. He moved to 2nd place in the World Rankings. |
Mon, 1st Dec 2014 Cheng Ssu-Chia - (China) Xiamen Open China - 21st to 23rd November, 2014 The 17 year old amateur Cheng Ssu-Chia added her fourth victory by winning the Xiamen Open by three strokes from runner-up French golfer Marion Ricordeau. French compatriot Alexandra Vilatte came third lying just one stroke behind. |
