Overnight leader James Morrison carded a final round of 70 to finish on 20 under par, one clear of Fisher who roared into contention with a host of birdies on the final day. With this win James Morrison and a former England youth cricketer, jumped 174 places to World Nº 182. |
Sat, 1st May 2010 Phil Mickelson - (USA) Masters Tournament Augusta National - Augusta - Georgia - USA - 08th to 11th April, 2010 Phil Mickelson picked up a third Masters Tournament victory in seven years with a final round of 67 for a 16-under-par total of 272, ahead of Lee Westwood who shot a final round of 71 for second place. The Champion at Augusta in 2004 and 2006 and with a US PGA title in between, Phil Mickelson's bogey free final round gave him his fourth Major Championship win. Yang secured a two stroke victory over the two Welshmen, Rhys Davies and Stephen Dodd. Sat, 1st May 2010 Marcus Fraser - (Australia) Ballantine's Championship Pinx - Jeju Island - South Korea - 22nd to 25th April, 2010 Australia's Marcus Fraser won the Ballantine's Championship by four shots as a battling three under par final round 69 secured a wire-to-wire victory and his first in seven years. The 31 year old topped the leader-board at 12 under par after dropping just two shots in three rounds of the weather-affected 54-hole tournament at Pinx Golf Club. Northern Ireland's Gareth Maybin shared second place with Australia's Brett Rumford. The win sees Marcus Fraser jump into the World Top 100 at 98th place, a leap of 134 positions in the World Golf Ranking. |
