Carvoeiro European Senior Tour Qualifying School Fri, 11th Jan 2019 Three of Hotel Pestana golf courses in the Algarve have again been chosen for the European Senior Tour Qualifying School, and these are the Gramacho, Vale de Pinta and the Silves courses. The first event will be from the 28th of January to February the 1st on the Gramacho and the Silves courses. The final stage for those players qualified from the previous rounds will be on the Vale de Pinta. |
Vilamoura 21st Dom Pedro International Golf Classic Wed, 9th Jan 2019 The Dom Pedro Hotel Group will be holding their annual competition based in Vilamoura from the 12th to the 19th January. Courses to be played are the Victoria, Old Course, Millennium, Pinhal and Laguna. Individual Stableford will be as from the 15th, and with a Fourball Betterball Stableford played on the final Friday the 18th. A Gala dinner with prizes held on the same evening. Oitavos Dunes GolfSixtes 2019 - Oitavos Course Mon, 28th Jan 2019 For the first time in its short history the GolfSixtes is to be held outside the UK and this year it will take on the Oitavos Course, located outside Cascais close to Lisbon. The event will take place on June the 7th and the prize money involved is € 1,000,000.00. Details of the format and those countries entered will be released nearer to the date of the event. |

Gramacho Tour Qualifying School - Gramacho Sun, 27th Jan 2019 The first part of the first stage of the 2019 of the European Tour Qualifying School took place on the Gramacho course on the 24th of January, 2019. At the end of the day there were three equal leaders, Euan McIntosh from Scotland, David Mosland IV from Canada, and John Inman from the USA. |
European Tour - Bryson Dechambeau
Mon, 28th Jan 2019 Dubai Desert Classic - Dubai - United Arab Emirates - 24th to 27th January, 2019. American golfer Bryson Dechambeau scored a magnificent seven stroke lead over his competitors by winning the Dubai Desert Classic. In second place was England's Matt Wallace, whilst in equal third position were Sergio Garcia, Ian Poulter, Alvaro Quiros and Paul Waring. This was Bryson Dechambeau maiden win on the Tour and placed him in fifth place in the World Rankings. |
European Tour - Shane Lowry
Mon, 21st Jan 2019 Abu Dubai Championship - Abu Dubai - United Arab Emirates - 16th to 19th January, 2019. Irish golfer Shane Lowry added another Tour win in Abu Dubai by finishing with a one stroke advantage. In second place was South African Richard Sterne with Joost Luiton in third position. With this victory Shane Lowry's wins on the Tour came to four, his World Ranking moved to 41st, and has taken the lead in this years Race to Dubai. |
