Wed, 1st May 2013 Adam Scott - (Australia) Masters Tournament Augusta - 11th to 14th April, 2013 With this outstanding win Adam Scott has now won 9 European titles on the Tour although this was his first this European season. The talented Australian moved up from seventh to third place in the Rankings with his first major win in 48 Championship attempts and the 12th appearance in the Masters. Winning the Masters came with great satisfaction after being beaten at the post by Ernie Els in The Open in the UK some nine months previously. It is very fitting that Australia should have a 'green jacket' of their own with so many past strong players. The finish was exciting with a formidable challenge from a previous winner in the shape of Angel Cabrera whose end game led to a play-off having both birdied the 18th hole. |
