Golf Awards for Algarve
Sun, 21st Jan 2018 The Algarve golf region has commenced 2018 having been awarded with two very important golf titles. The 2018 'Annual Travel Awards' was won for the second year running for being the 'Best Golf Destination in Continental Europe', and 'Best Value Golf Destination in Continental Europe' for the fifth time since 2012. |

European Tour - Haotong Li
Mon, 29th Jan 2018 Dubai Desert Classic - Dubai - United Arab Emirates - 25th to 28th January, 2018. China's golfer Haotong Li gained his second Tour win in the Desert Classic in Dubai. Haotong Li ended the final day with one stroke less than Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy. In third place was Tyrrell Hatton from England with a further two strokes. Haotong Li moved to 60th place in the World Rankings and 2nd in the Race to Dubai. |

European Tour - Tommy Fleetwood
Tue, 23rd Jan 2018 Abu Dhabi Championship - Abu Dhabi - United Arab Emirates - 18th to 21st January, 2018. English golfer Tommy Fleetwood gained his fourth win on the Tour in Abu Dhabi when he ended the final round two strokes less than his nearest rival fellow Englishman Ross Fisher. In third place was Matthew Fitzpatrick a further two stokes back. Tommy Fleetwood moved to 12th position in the World Rankings and first place in the Race to Dubai. |

European Tour - Chris Paisley
Mon, 15th Jan 2018 SA Open - Glendower - Ekurhuleni - Gauteng - South Africa - 11th to 14th January, 2018. With a lead of three strokes England's golfer Chris Paisley gained his maiden victory on Tour in South Africa. Local golfers, Branden Grace and JC Ritchie finished second place and third place respectively. Chris Paisley moved to 121st position in the World Rankings and 5th in the Race to Dubai. |
