Morgado Description

The Morgado Golf Course is situated to the north of the town of Portimao and is the sister course to the Álamos Course. The Morgado Golf Course is laid out in a large 980 hectare estate through undulating small valleys. The immediate main characteristic factors are generous fairways and its large greens which place demand on good putting skills. Also, the accuracy of the players shot will be questioned by deep aggressive bunkers.

Der Platz ist im Dezember in ausgezeichnetem Zustand, die Grüns sind top gepflegt. Leider darf man, genau wie beim benachbarten Alamos-Course, nur noch bei einigen Bahnen mit dem Buggy übers Fairway fahren, oftmals muss man auf den Wegen bleiben. Wenn man kein Präzisionsspieler ist, sind die Wege zu Fuß da mitunter sehr lang. Insgesamt ist der Platz eine klare Empfehlung

Our group all enjoyed Morgado and all said we would play it again. Quite a fair course and lovely greens. Some damaged areas on the fairways due to lack of water from supply problems but nothing that bothered any of us. Recommended.
