The outward first five holes are through the pine tree forest. Water and good hole layouts provides the hazards that play a big part in players having to select the right club and hit with care. The eighteenth is a tricky Par-4 mainly involving a lake that is just waiting for the inaccurate shot.

Fantastic golf course but in very poor condition compared to other local courses and certainly can’t warrant the green fee compared to what you get at other courses. Shame that the management have left what was once regarded as the number 2 course in Europe to deteriorate so badly. David Walker

Super golf course, but very poor behaviour of people on the course. We were facing a employee for 2 holes watering the green. He did not want to stop doing it when we were playing, was agressive towards us and when we asked him to stop talking, he refused and started to insult us in Portugues while his colleague was asking him to stop and behave well.

The staff was lovely and friendly but the course should be priced half of what it is for the condition it's in and the amenities it lacks. I appreciate that their clubhouse burned down, but it's not just that. The back nine fairways are dry and not in great shape. The greens are okay but slow. For the price maybe take a pass.
