The 18 hole championship Vale do Lobo Royal Golf Course is a sister to the Ocean Course. This course has combined several existing holes from the original Vale do Lobo Course and introduced some special interesting new holes. The layout of the course is skillful planned with a mixture of challenges slowly building up to a finally one on the eighteenth.

The famous Par 3 seventh hole from the old days is now the spectacular sixteenth on this new course. The closing eighteenth is a tricky hole on which to finish, with its narrow fairway and a deceptive green.

For me the Royal is the better course of the two at Vale Do Lobo, always in great condition with some challenging holes once you get passed the gentle start of the first 2 holes
