Pinhal Description

Pinhal Golf Course is situated in Vilamoura as a sister to the other four golf courses. It is laid out through the pine tree forest and is set back from the tourist beach area. The outward nine holes wander through the holiday villas that line the fairways. The well positioned bunkers make the course very enjoyable for the players, testing their choice of clubs and their accuracy. The Par 4 on the fourth hole is difficult to achieve with water waiting for the erring shot. The Par 3 on the eighth of 149 metres is also trickier than it first appears. The back nine-holes have a more open feel but the slightly altered fifteenth will cause a problem to meet the Par 4 it requires.

I have been coming to the Algarve to play golf for over 40yrs and have played Pinhal many times. It never was one of my favourite venues but I must say that over the 2 or 3 occasions I have played here it appears to get better every time. Well done to all the greens staff for making the difference.

Not the most enjoyable game of golf I have played at Dom Pedro course. Five hours and ten minutes for a found is ridiculous and to be put out as a single golfer is beyond belief. Started at the 10th and ain’t till the 13th to await the three ball behind me and ask them if I could join them as the four ball in front looked like they where there for a laugh. Very disappointed
