Alto Golf Description

The Alto Golf Course is a 18 hole course located close to the fishing village of Alvor near to Portimao. This course is situated close enough to the ocean to give the player an occasional sea view. A simple par 3 opens your round but it is deceiving to what is in store. The Alto Golf Course is considered a good test of the ability of the player with strategic bunkers, dog-legs, elevated greens and well placed trees. A further noteworthy challenge is the par 5 on the sixteenth that is considered to be one of the longest holes in Europe.

Well laid out traditional type of course quite short but with small greens Friendly staff Had previously discounted it during previous trips but its worth the effort espcially for the cost compared to some of the bigger names

Liked this course , great condition, good value for money. Tight fairways, small greens makes for an interesting round.

Played a twilight round in 3-1/2 hours (a foursome). It's hilly, a tough layout from the back tees and the course conditions were very good. I would definitely play this course again.
