Gramacho Description

The Gramacho Golf Course near Carvoeiro in the Algarve was originally a nine hole course which has been extended and cleverly redesigned to become a fully fledged interesting 18 hole course. A formidable challenge to its designer! The course covers undulating terrain with olive, almond and carob trees scattered as planted years before by the local farmers. The Gramacho Course is designed for the player to be technically accurate and to know which club to choose before hitting the ball. Anything less will quickly increase his score.

Always in excellent condition. A good accessible course which is not too long, or narrow. One of the best club house terraces going.

Good golf course but way too many flights on it . At #6 there were 3 flights waiting in line to play. Usually 2 flights waiting . It took us 2 hours to play the first 6 holes. Last year we had the same experience. Never again!

So badly hit by the recent tornado. Literally hundreds of trees gone. Still a very tough course to play.
