Vale da Pinta Description

Vale da Pinta Golf Course is located on the outskirts of the village of Carvoeiro. The course is well laid out and is an interesting and challenging course to play. Set in a truly Algarve landscape with almond, olive and carob trees decorating the fairways that roll through small valleys and hills. Some of the olive trees are reputed to be in the region of 1,500 years old.

Two holes that deserve special mention are the par 3 tenth and the par 5 thirteenth. The former has a large bunker defending the green against your shot, the latter, runs along a valley for some 541 metres.

Quiet as you would expect with a twilight round. Very friendly staff and we thought the course was in good condition. We enjoy it as there are many holes where it is difficult to lose a ball but there are a few with challenges. We are a beginner and a high 20’s handicap.

Last course we played last week and after putting on salgardos (v.good)Espiche (excellent) Ombria (excellent)thease greens were very disappointing.

Today we played this course. It is a quite difficult course. You really have to think before you take your shot. But more important, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We thought we booked 2 sets of clubs, but no. In a minimum of time the girl from the reception tackled this problem and she came up with 2 outstanding sets for my wife ad myself. Great compliments!!

Try to avoid busy times.

Always love playing this course. Beautifully kept course with some lovely holes. Only negative is that a round can take forever to complete.
