The tee boxes were a bit rough some of the greens had a few poor patches in them. We still enjoyed our day but as I say I have seen it in better condition than it is at present. |

Particularly green sizes are slightly ridiculous and felt more like a par 3 course with button sizes greens |

on Thu, 1st Jun 2023 Superb golf course We would thoroughly recommend Pinhal. We arrived early and was going to hit some balls on the range to warm up. But instead as the course was quiet we were given the opportunity to tee off early which we did. Nice friendly welcome at reception. We played from 4pm when the course was quiet and there was no one pushing us along. Liked the tips provided on the website for each tee - good description and advice on how to play each tee. |

on Wed, 5th Apr 2023 Well set out holes with some really nice par 3’s. Not terribly long off the yellows however the course is tree lined on every hole so keep it straight. Welcome at reception wasn’t terribly warm which didn’t put us off. The marshals were spot on and even started us on 10 to save us a bit of time. A buggy is a must as you’ll walk nearly as far as the course going from green to the next tee. The course was in excellent condition with well maintained greens. We played a 2 ball and our round took 4 hours however we did get held up just before the turn then played behind two 4’s on the 2nd 9. Normal dress code required for golf, please not tho ladies are required to wear a collared top also. Worth a visit. |

If I had one slight criticism it would be that the shop is understaffed during peak periods as we had to que for ten minutes to check in. |

The approaches could with a cut as it was virtually impossible to hit a bump and run but I understand the weather has been very dry so need to protect the grass. Not too difficult off yellows providing you keep it on the fairway. I imagine you would need to give it a whack off the whites in order to score well. Good fun and would definitely play again. |

Fabulous set-up from start to finish. Course in great condition and a tough test. Refreshments hut passed 3 times 2,7,13 is just brilliant. Greens are small and challenging but were running so true and quick. All in all a brilliant days golf on a great course 👍 |

Several short par 4’s, but with narrow greens, they can easily offer up a birdie or a bogey. It’s quite an elevated course, & that proved our front 9 to be challenging as the wind blew big time. Played early March and it was in a very good condition. |

The fairways were also fairly good with plenty of grass. My only complaint was the toilet at the halfway hut was a disgrace and unusable. Good job there are plenty of trees knocking about. As a footnote I have found golf in the Algarve is now very expensive |

Probably only negative comment I would have about Dom Pedro Golf is their fluctuating pricing. Despite not being busy changing the price of a buggy from €25 to €50 within a week is just greedy! Hence and I walked and carried which I enjoyed more. |

on Thu, 10th Sep 2020 Pinhal one of Vilamoura's iconic courses First thing to say is excellent friendly staff here! From golf reception to buggy master, all helpful and obliging. This is a course we've played many times but the design never fails to impress. Tight fairways require accurate tee shots but reward with pars or birdies. We always stay in Vilamoura so this course is on our doorstep, almost walking distance so very convenient. The greens were good if not exceptional, fairly quick but a little patchy in places. Much improvement work has obviously been done and is bringing this course back to its best. One of the origionally 3, you simply must play it if you get the opportunity and will not regret. We will be back. |

The course was very shabby in appearance and very busy due to the fact that only Pinhal and The Old Course were open of all the Dom Pedro Courses. The reception desk took an age to take everyone’s booking and consequently there was no time to use Pinhal excellent driving range prior to play. Free golf for juniors is a great offer yet again as a summer special but overall a big disappointment this year. |

on Sun, 12th Jul 2020 Dom Pedro Force Golfers To Rent Their Equipment We used the Dom Pedro Pinhal golf course) today paid my green fees and arrived at the 1st tee with my clubs on my push trolley. The starter told me I could not use my own personal push trolley and I was forced to rent a ride on buggy. This is Dom Pedro group trying to make extra money out of golfers during Covid 19. This is wrong and using my own equipment is much safer and in line with Covid 19 recommendation rather than force golfers to use rental equipment. This is the only hotel/golf chain in the Algarve that forces golfers to rent equipment where they previously pre-Covid 19 didn't. There are more ethical golf clubs out there. I will never play on a Dom Pedro course again after their treatment of golfers post Covid 19. I feel sorry for the staff who have to enforce the company policy as it is clear they are very uncomfortable with how their company is treating and ripping off golfers. |

He could’ve called to the front but made us feel awful instead as if we were trying to sneak onto the course. Also, bottled water was provided at two other Dom a Pedro courses but nothing h here. We had to go inside fir water which sloshed everywhere in the cart because lids were not provided. We will return to the other courses but not to this one. |

Fairways and greens okay, comparable with Milennium. Two items which I did not like so much: A lot of times you had to cross a car road used to enter the surrounding houses Buggy could be cleaner. |
