As with most Algarve courses, greens are overplayed by people who don’t repair pitch marks (not the courses fault) and the greens are undulating ….very fast and very tricky. |

Course in reasonable condition considering the time of year,. Quite a tough course to walk which is why we saw lots of golfers in buggies. |

There were some very interesting holes but overall it’s not especially challenging. My playing partner and I both scored well. It’s the 5th or 6th time I’ve played Gramacho and I’ll definitely be back again. |

on Sat, 12th Aug 2023 Poor conditions and surly staff I’m not someone who typically takes the time to write reviews, however, following my round at Gramacho (one of the Pestana, courses) this week, I am compelled to do so. I am fortunate to live in the US and to have played many good courses over the years. I have heard much about the great golf in the Algarve and was excited to play at Gramacho. Unfortunately, this course fell woefully short of my expectation. Firstly, the greens were shaggy, bumpy, slow and just in really poor condition. Secondly, the service and hospitality was poor. The staff seemed rather unhappy and were unhelpful and cold. Also, this part of Portugal is often >90F at this time of year, and the day we played was no exception. There is not a single water station on the entire course!!!!! A guy stopped by twice to sell us small bottles of water. Not only was that not often enough, selling water in those temperatures when we had just paid 100 euros to play is simply not good enough. We had planned to have lunch and have a few beers after the round but decided to spend our money elsewhere instead. Lastly, the carts/buggy’s did not include GPS, which would no be a big deal if the many sprinkler heads had distances on them. Not a single sprinkler head had a distance on it. A simple, cheap and effective way to make the round more enjoyable and faster. I hope someone from Pestana reads this - there is much work to be done at Gramacho. |

Have played Gramancho many times the course is great value for money (especially twighlight) , never in my experience overly busy and well maintained. What lets it down (more than once) is the surely, rude attitude to the customers of some of the reception staff . If you do play twighlight expect to be spoken too like a second class citizen when booking in and asking for club hire and buggies . Played at many courses in the Algarve and this is the place when I come across this poor attitude and rubbish customer service |

on Wed, 28th Sep 2022 Cramacho golf Got to play on this beautiful course today 28-9-22. But: - it took 5.5 hours! Where was the marshal? -Greens are not even. But also the many pitch marks make putting unnecessarily difficult! How much effort does it take if every golfer repairs at least 1 pitch-mark consistently per hole? It does give extra playing pleasure. - the long transfers, height differences call for a buggy. However, if there are flights without a buggy, this causes congestion resulting in a round that takes 5.5 hours (too long). The quality of this course for today unfortunately a 6 ((1-10). |

Considering the drought conditions the majority of the fairways are in good condition. Quite shocked at some of the greens that were damaged through possible drought but some of them had been machine damaged. In a normal year this would probably have recovered . Not quite as well looked after generally but still worth a round. Look forward to seeing it back to its best. |

Staff were excellent and quickly sorted us out with a buggy and hire clubs. (TaylorMade sim max.)The course was challenging and interesting but very playable for a mid handicapper. The greens were a little bit 'frayed at the edges' obviously being used a lot but not bad and playing much slower than you would expect. Overall, highly recommended for value...... Much cheaper than neighbouring courses. |

Greens in very good condition often undulating which added to the challenge and fun. Clubhouse, bar, patio all excellent. The greens were a bit fluffy but I don’t know if that’s par for round here. Staff at the course we very polite & helpful. We were a tad surprised to hear there would be no drinks / snack buggy in the course. Pace of play was good. 4 & a 1/4 hours in that heat was a relief. |
