Vale da Pinta Description

Vale da Pinta Golf Course is located on the outskirts of the village of Carvoeiro. The course is well laid out and is an interesting and challenging course to play. Set in a truly Algarve landscape with almond, olive and carob trees decorating the fairways that roll through small valleys and hills. Some of the olive trees are reputed to be in the region of 1,500 years old.

Two holes that deserve special mention are the par 3 tenth and the par 5 thirteenth. The former has a large bunker defending the green against your shot, the latter, runs along a valley for some 541 metres.

I arrived with dizziness and chest palpitations . The staff were so supportive and kind. They checked on me regularly throughout my round. The course is recovering from the tornado damage and still looks and plays fantastically well. If I could play anywhere in the world it would probably be here.

Always an interesting course to play, with lots of variation on the layout of the holes. It’s September so the course is a little tired in places but still a delight to play here. A slight hiccup with our tee reservation as they booked me as a 2-ball instead of 4-ball per the Algarve Golf voucher. But they got it sorted.
