Pinheiros Altos Description

The 27 hole Pinheiros Altos Golf Course is situated in Quinta do Lago Resort. The fairways of the 27 holes run through the pine tree forest or over generous and attractive open spaces. Located within the well-known luxury Quinta do Lago this course has gained a solid reputation for providing enjoyment of the game. Within the golfing world it is known as providing a mental challenge due to well placed hazards.

There are three independent circuits of nine holes and they are named the Pinheiros (Pines), Sobreiros (Corks), the Oliveiras (Olives), the Pinheiros (Pines), respectively. They all start and end at the Club House.

The layout was superb but the condition of the course was very tired, Greens where not great and some of the fairway where so badly scorched it was like playing off the sand. Corks was the best nine of the twenty seven holes they have and it is a tough test.

Course a bit scruffy and some greens patchy in places indicating a lack of investment. Greens also very slow, but still enjoyable course to play. We did hear of a group who got attacked by dogs and the Marshall said it had happened on a few occasions over recent months, but they are genuinely concerned about the problem.

Oliveiros in very bad condition Corck was better and vreener. The greens werenot good We payd a lot of money for 6 people and 3 buggies😂

We were really concerned following recent reviews , however course played much better than expected. Played Pines and Olives. Pines is a good nine and we managed to find some shade. Olives more open and no shade from the sun. Condition was nowhere near as good which we understand is due to irrigation system failure. However there has been a massive lack of investment in what could be a really good course.
