Pine Cliffs Description

Pine Cliffs Golf Course has 9 holes and is a very well maintained course. It is located virtually on the cliff top near Albufeira and is managed by the new Pine Cliffs Hotel, a Luxury Collection Resort. The challenging prize of the course is its ninth hole played from the tee over a ravine with beautiful views down onto the sandy beach. This hole has been given the local nickname of the 'Devils Parlour'. This small and beautiful course is also set among the pine trees and presents a a very pleasant and charming round of golf.

The course itself is well suited for beginners, with a layout that’s forgiving and enjoyable without feeling too intimidating. The staff in the restaurant and those helping with clubs were fantastic – welcoming, friendly, and genuinely made the experience much more enjoyable. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the shop. The two ladies working there were incredibly rude and dismissive, which left a poor impression. For those of us new to golf or visiting from outside the area, a little patience and friendliness goes a long way, and sadly that was completely missing. It’s a shame, because the course and the majority of the staff were excellent.

Lovely place and a great hole playing over a gap in the cliffs. Greens taken care of. Short course so easy to do in hot weather. Reason it was not 5* is that it’s short and I was done quite quickly and better value for money would have been doing 18 (the 9holes twice) for what I paid.
