Tee time slots on major courses for both September and October are now far and few between with some days completely booked. The definite indication is that this autumn will be busy for all major courses and also for some of the minor ones. We find we are already handling quite a large number of enquiries for next year covering mainly February March and April.

On the 26th of September the whole world of golf will start watching another fascinating Ryder Cup taking place on the famous Gleneagles Course in Scotland. The Europe Team is captained by Irishman Paul McGinley and ably assisted by Des Smyth and Sam Torrance. Our European Team is so far composed of Rory McIlroy , Henrik Stenson , Vitor Dubuisson , Jamie Donaldson , Sergio Garcia , Justin Rose , Martin Kaymer , Thomas Bjorn , Graeme McDowell , Stephen Gallacher , Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood . One leading Sports columnist had suggested that much in-form Bernard Langer should be included having won very recently the Seniors Open by 13 strokes!

Rory McIlroy - (Northern Ireland) USA PGA Championship Valhalla - Kentucky - USA - 7th to 10th August,, 2014 Rory McIlroy with this victory has won four major Trophies! A hard earned win against four of the finest players in golf today. An eagle on the turn brought him back into contention when he seemed to be slightly fading - he never looked back from then on. It was a PGA Championship to be prized in the memory.

Marc Warren - (Scotland) Made in Denmark Aalborg - Denmark - 14th to 17th August, 2014 This win gave Scots golfer Marc Warren his 3rd win on the Tour in 262 attempts. His nearest rival was the Welshman Bradley Dredge with two strokes behind. With this new victory Marc Warren moved to 68th position in the World Rankings and 20th in the Race to Dubai.

Jamie Donaldson - (Wales) Czech Masters Prague - Czech Republic - 21st to 24th August, 2014 Welsh golfer Jamie Donaldson claimed a two stoke victory over fellow compatriot Bradley Dredge at the Czech Masters placing him firmly in contention for part of the team for the Ryder Cup. This was Jamie Donaldson 3rd win in a European Tour event out of a total of 306 participations. The win placed him at 29th in the World Rankings and 4th on the Race to Dubai.

Hennie Otto - (South Africa) Open d'Italia Torino - Italy - 28th to 31st August, 2014 This is the second time win by Hennie Otto of the Open d'Italia. He has participated in 279 events on the European Tour and this is his third win. He finished two strokes ahead of Englishman David Howell and three strokes ahead of Stephen Gallacher from Scotland. Hennie Otto moved to 93rd place in the Rankings and 37th position in the Race to Dubai.

Trish Johnson - (England) Aberdeen Ladies Open Holylake - England - 29th to 31st August, 2014 At the respectable age of 48 Trish Johnson from England took the title and became the oldest winner of any Ladies Open on the Tour. She won by two strokes from French Gwladys Nocera and three stokes from a combination of Rebecca Artis and Stephanie Na from Australia. She now is placed in 10th place on the Handa Order of Merit.
