Algarve Golf News July 2014

Tue, 1st Jul 2014
We now are entering the low summer season for golf which also brings an interesting drop in the rates that the courses will be charging. Golfers may chose a course in Vilamoura with the cheapest rate starting at € 44.00 a round, or the Pestana courses with two players plus a Buggy with an inclusive rate from € 100.00. The Boavista course near Lagos is offering a round for two players plus a Buggy for € 103.00, whilst the Morgado/Alamos courses are asking only € 85.00 for the same package. In the Lisbon area the Quinta de Peru have a rate starting at only € 33.00 a round. In the Porto area the cheapest we can offer is € 45.00 at the Miramar course. - - All food for thought! The indications are that this autumn will be unusually busy as some courses are already beginning to fill up their available tee times. Some courses are being temporary closed as they are undergoing maintenance over the next couple of months. The Pinta from the 30th of June to the 13th of July; the Millennium from 7th of July to the 21st July; the Alto from the 23rd July to 24th July; the Alamos from the 28th July to the 30th July; the Laguna from the 4th of August to the 18th of August; the Gramacho from the 12th of August to the 13th of August; and the Old Course from the 18th to the 24th of August.
