Colin Montgomerie - (Scotland) Volvo Scandinavian Masters Barseback - Malmo - Sweden - 2nd to 5th August, 2001 With one stroke in hand Scottish Colin Montgomerie claimed the Scandinavian Masters in Malmo on the European Tour. His nearest rivals were both from England, Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood.

Paul McGinley - (Ireland) The Celtic Manor Resort Wales Open The Celtic Manor - City of Newport - Wales - 9th to 12th August, 2001 In a very tight playoff Paul McGinley from Ireland claimed the victory at the Celtic Manor Wales Open on the European Tour. His opponents were Paul Lawrie from Scotland and Daren lee from England.

David Toms - (USA) US PGA Championship Atlanta Athletic - John''s Creek - Georgia - USA - 16 to 19th August, 2001 In a close finish David Toms took the converted prize of the US PGA Championship in Georgia. David Toms was pushed to the end by fellow American Phil Mickelson.

Tobias Dire - (Germany) North West of Ireland Open Slieve Russell Hotel - Co. Cavan - Ireland - 16th to 19th August, 2001 On the European Tour the North West of Ireland Open was won by German player Tobias Dire by one stroke from Welshman Stephen Dodd, and his nearest rival being fellow Welshman, Mark Pilkington.

Paul Casey - (England) Gleneagles Scottish PGA Championship The Gleneagles -,Perthshire - Scotland - 23rd to 26th August, 2001 English golfer Paul Casey took the victory by one stroke at the PGA Championship at Gleneagles in Scotland. His nearest rival was Alex Cejka from Germany with David Howell a further two strokes back.

Tiger Woods - (USA) WGC - NEC Invitational Firestone - Akron - Ohio - USA - 23rd to 26th August, 2001 The WGC-NEC Invitational was won by Tiger Woods starting the final round three strokes behind and ending in a playoff with fellow American Jim Furyk. Darren Clarke from Northern Ireland came third with two further strokes back.

John Daly - (USA) BMW International Open Golfclub Munchen Eichenried - Munich - Germany - 20th to 2nd September, 2001 American golfer John Daly captured the victory by one stroke at the BMW International Open in Munich on the European Tour. His nearest rival was Irishman Padraig Harrington.

Ricardo Gonzalez - (Argentina) Omega European Masters Crans-sur-Sierre - Crans Montana - Switzerland - 6th to 9th September, 2001 With three strokes advantage over Danish golfer Soren Hansen the Argentinian Ricardo Gonzalez won the Omega European Masters in Switzerland.

Sergio Garcia - (Spain) Trophee Lancome Saint-Nom-La-Breteche - Paris - France - 20th to 23rd September, 2001 By only one stroke the Spanish golfer Sergio Garcia claimed victory from South African Retief Goosen at the Trophee Lancome at Paris. Two stokes further back from Retief Goosen was fellow South African Jean Hugo.
