WGC - EMC World Cup The Taiheiyo - Gotemba - Japan - 15th to 18th November, 2001 South Africa captured the World Golf Championships-EMC2 World Cup after a four nation playoff at The Taiheiyo Club in Japan, which saw Ernie Els and Retief Goosen edge out Denmark, New Zealand and defending champions United States.

Bernhard Langer - (Germany) Linde German Masters Golf Club Gut Larchenhof - Cologne - Germany - 4th to 7th October, 2001 By one stroke Bernhard Langer won his home competition of the German Masters at Cologne on the European Tour. His nearest rivals were John Daly from the USA and Freddie Jacobson from Sweden.

Jorge Berendt - (Argentina) Cannes Open Golf de Cannes Mougins - Cannes - France - 11th to 14th October, 2001 Jorge Berendt from Argentina claimed victory when he defeated Jean Van De Velde from France at the Cannes Open on the European Tour. Three strokes further back was a group composed of Thomas Levet, Santiago Luna and Andrew Marshall.

Ian Woosnam - (Wales) Cisco World Match Play Championship Wentworth - Virginia Water - Surrey - England - 11th to 14th October, 2001 Welshman Ian Woosnam claimed a victory at the World Match Play Championship at Wentworth on the European Tour. Behind him came Padraig Harrington and then Sam Torrance.

Paul Lawrie - (Scotland) Dunhill Links Championship Old Course - St. Andrews - Carnoustie & Kingsbarns - Scotland - 18th to 21st October, 2001 Scottish golfer Paul Lawrie added another win to his total at the Dunhill Links Championship at St. Andrews in Scotland. He defeated Ernie Els from South Africa by just one stroke with Englishman Davis Howell another stroke further back.

Retief Goosen - (South Africa) Telefonica Open de Madrid Club de Campo Villa de Madrid - Madrid - Spain - 25th to 28th October, 2001 The Open de Madrid ended in a playoff on the European Tour between the winner Retied Goosen from South Africa and Steve Webster from England.

His nearest rivals were Thongchai Jaidee from Thailand and Maria Jose Olazabal from Spain.

Jose Maria Olazabal - (Spain) Omega Hong Kong Open Hong Kong - Fanling - Hong Kong - 29th to 2nd December, 2001 Spanish golfer Jose Maria Olazabal defeated Henrik Bjornstad from Norway by one stroke to claim the Hong Kong Open. Just behind with one more stroke was Australian Adam Scott.

Retief Goosen - (South Africa) The Scottish Open Loch Lomond - Glasgow - Scotland - 12th to 15th July, 2001 South African golfer Retied Goosen held the lead by three strokes from Thomas Bjorn from Denmark to win the Scottish Open on the European Tour. A field of four players were behind Bjorn by on stroke, John Daly, Larry Lane, Paul McGinley and Adam Scott.
