Trevor Immelman from South Africa won the Cialis Western Open at Cog Hill G&CC with a final round of 67 for a 2 stroke victory over Tiger Woods and Australian Matthew Goggin. Trevor Immelman, who has won three times on the European Tour, moved up 14 places to Nº 15. Sam Walker won the Scottish Challenge on the European Challenge Tour and climbed 250 places to Nº 434. Sion E Bebb won the Ryder Cup Wales Challenge on the European Challenge Tour. Tiger Woods won the Buick Open at Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club and completing his 50th PGA Tour win in a career from less than 200 starts. Second place was taken by Jim Furyk, the World Nº 4, narrowing his gap to Vijay Singh at Nº 3. Martin Kaymer was the toast of the German golfing public after holding on to win the biggest title of his fledgling career at the Vodafone Challenge on the European Challenge Tour and to move up the Rankings to Nº 479.

Stephen Dodd - (Wales) The Smurfit Kappa European Open The K Club - Straffan - Co. Kildare - Ireland - 6th to 9th July, 2006 Welshman Stephen Dodd won the Smurfit Kappa European Open over the Smurfit Course at the K Club in County Kildare, Ireland. Stephen Dodd's third European Tour victory and his second in Ireland. He climbed to Nº 60 with an improvement of 68 places. He ended up two strokes less than his rivals Jose Manuel Lara from Spain and Anthony Wall from England.

Johan Edfors - (Sweden) The Barclays Scottish Open Loch Lomond - Glasgow - Scotland - 13th to 16th July, 2006 Johan Edfors took a two stroke lead to finish the winner of The Barclays Open at Loch Lomond in Scotland. His nearest rivals were all grouped together on 273 strokes, Luke Donald from England, Andres Romero from Argentina and Charl Schwartzel from South Africa.

Tiger Woods - (USA) 135th Open Championship Royal Liverpool - Hoylake - England - 20th to 23rd July, 2006 Tiger Woods won the 135th Open Championship at Royal Liverpool GC, Hoylake with a final round of 67 and equaling the best round of the day. This gave him a two stroke victory over fellow American Chris DiMarco. Tiger Woods lead in the World Golf Ranking is extended to 8.51 average points as he started his 401st week at the World Number One.

Robert Karlsson - (Sweden) The Deutsche Bank Players Championship Gut Kaden - Hamburg - Germany - 27th to 30th July, 2006 Robert Karlsson won the Deutsche Bank Players Championship of Europe at Gut Kaden in Hamburg with a final round of 67, giving him a four stroke victory over Charl Schwartzel and Lee Westwood. With his second European Tour win in two months Karlsson has moved Nº 50, a move of 38 places on the previous week and 166 places since the start of year 2006.
