Always in top condition and yes the green fee is steep but when packaged together with Laranjal & North it works out ok and even cheaper when staying at the Magnolia Hotel( low & mid season) Holes 14/15/16/17 have some of the best tee box views that I have played , one to tick off the play list definitely and it’s also very walkable with an electric trolley |

The buggies are top class, with GPS and in very good condition. If I had to say something that could be improved, I would say that the pro shop was not up to the standard of the course and some areas of the course were under repair, which made it difficult to play. |

We booked an early start but at hole 9 the rain was so bad we had to give up but the course staff simply booked us to play the back 9 2 days later. As all the locals told us it would - the next day was roasting hot and all the puddles were gone. Not bad for early February! |

The Rough was penal as it ought to be and the Bunkers whilst challenging, had a lovely sand consistency. The Greens were a tad slow but very consistent on the lines and enjoyable to putt on. A lovely warm atmosphere as always in the Pro-Shop and in the Clubhouse with great Staff. |

It reminds me of Augusta (not that I’ve actually been there!) with all its ups and downs. Lots of great holes and fast, difficult greens. Fully recommended. |

Besides high quality buggies with nice seats, good navigation system and served with a bottle of water. The first hole of Lago South (downwards par-4) has much similarity with the starting hole of the Old course. With a good drive, you can use a wedge to go for a par and gives you confidence for the rest of the round. Good service during the course if you ask for a band aid, it will be arranged within a few minutes. Something to improve: the clubhouse which was in construction and the signs to find the reception building. Till Quinta do Lago resort, all signs in orange and suddenly no orange signs anymore.. |

Tee off at 11:45 paired with a lovely Swedish couple, no one in front or behind, round in 4 hours 15 mins, course a lovely test, with several rise and falls, greens good, back nine the most memorable. Nice touch food buggy lady went and got real coffee, only downside new clubhouse in construction so lack of focal point before round and after. Best option cafe next to driving range. |

Staff very helpful and organised. The only one negative was the food / drink buggy man only came round once and at that point we were on the 17th tee. This could have something to do with the SGF charity golf day on the north course. |

Only criticism was the round was 4 hours in a buggy but afternoon looked very quiet. Must play golf course and I will be back. Great food and service afterwards and Caesar salad was 10/10. |

The course was in immaculate condition, albeit with slightly sandy greens at times. The staff were very welcoming and if I had anything at all to offer in terms of feedback, it would be that the green keepers were sometimes a little too present on the course; this was off putting to some of our higher handicappers. Overall it justifies its hype as a golfing deity. |
