on Tue, 8th Oct 2024 A really good well presented course . We played on a beautiful day and that helps . A lot of quality holes with good variety and great sea views , A small criticism is we didn’t have divot bags to repair the fairways . |

on Sat, 10th Aug 2024 Don’t book this course Never got to play. Booked the course more than a month ago. Arrived and was told the course was closed for maintenance and told us we were not booked anyway no record of our booking. They then found the booking and said we could play the following day. Hard to do when you have booked a golf holiday with confirmed courses every day. They then found our booking and offered us a game in the Cima course which we accepted. As we had no where else to go. Was told that Cima was the championship course when they played all their competitions. We have played more than 20 courses on our current trip and this was the worse. Course in general in poor condition not worth the green fee. Would be happy to get a refund but as we know that will never happen. Spoke to another group on the course who had a similar experience, had booked but were not told course was closed for the day. Very disappointed. |

on Wed, 10th Jul 2024 Quinta da Ria early July Excellent course, very good greens and your course management needs to be sharp. Pace off play decent. Very helpful staff, we will definitely play again and worth going for a golfing package. |

on Tue, 27th Jun 2023 Great course, slow playing Pros: Good maintenance, solid fairways & fast greens. Great natural surroundings. Cons: lots of waiting due to slow playing threesomes in front of us. Not only on one day, but on both rounds we played last week. A marshal with authority could help … but no one in sight |

on Fri, 27th Jan 2023 Golfen am Atlantik! |

on Tue, 10th Jan 2023 Great course, poor management of those on it. This course was in fantastic condition and would be recommended all the time, however, the huge downside is that it took nearly FIVE hours to play for two if us in a buggy. Unacceptable, two groups of younger golfers held up the course. Why no course Marshall particularly as they state on their cards four-ball should only take four hours. |

on Mon, 24th Oct 2022 Great course and facilities Really nice course with a nice clubhouse and staff. Round took a little over 4hrs which was good as the course did look busy but we never really waited for play a shot. Lovely views along the coast. Greens and fairways were in good condition. Although being a 40min drive from my house in Almancil I will make the effort to go back soon. Practice areas were outstanding. |

on Tue, 19th Jul 2022 Golfing by the sea Really nice course - fairways maybe a tad dry - lots of sand which I seemed to find ☹️ Strong finishing holes which you’ll need to play well to keep your card going. Really nice people too - shame there was no buggy bar going round the course |

on Fri, 10th Jun 2022 A Gem Must Play A first class course. Well run pro shop which provided all the info we needed as first time users. Nice touch the buggy we hired was park right by the pro shop and water fir each of us was provided. The course itself is first class and provides a real challenge with a multitude of bunkers and water to navigate around as well as trees ! The condition of the whole course we could not fault with the greens being superb and quick. The clubhouse again was super with friendly staff throughout the resort. Will be going back 👍 |

on Mon, 4th Jan 2021 very enjoyable, scenic and in great condition played Quinta da Ria at 8 in the morning with due to the cold night white fairways. That disappeared as soon as the sun warmed. Started at the long 10th so had the most scenic holes in my first nine holes (12, 13). What a nice views over the Ria Formosa from there! Greens where superb, bunkers great, Fairways also. Enjoyed the course very much. Apart from the 10th: stroke index 1: 422 m par 4 and water in front right of green (played the white tees) and 13 (188 m par 3) the holes are not long but still challenging. With good short game a course where good scoring is possible. Very friendly reception and caddy masters. So a course to revisit! |

on Mon, 27th May 2019 Course, location and facilities much appreciated. Course was in really nice condition, and the scenery looking out over the shoreline is excellent. on Thu, 23rd May 2019 Have played here previously so had a good what awaited us. But disappointed that we were initially made into a three ball without any prior notice but this was swiftly resolved. Only let down for us was an arrogant two ball pairing behind us who represented everything that is wrong with golf but that’s golfings problem not the course. We did point out the error of their ways and I hope they didn’t spoil the games of the other polite groups we encountered along the way |

on Fri, 24th Aug 2018 Stunning course This is an absolutely stunning course - and one we can't wait to play again. My husband and I played here in August. We were both very impressed with the course. It's so nice to play off grass fairways where you can get a divot, and not the tightly knotted spongey grass that we have experienced on some other golf courses here in Portugal. It's very challenging in parts, with plenty of hazards to keep you on your toes. It's a very picturesque course with beautiful shrubs, trees and amazing bird life. We were grateful for a couple of extra shots as a result of the handicap adjustment. We were disappointed that the club house was out of action as it's undergoing a refurbishment - due to be completed mid October. We're looking forward to returning to play again in early October with a crowd of friends - and we're hoping you can get the clubhouse finished by then!! |

on Thu, 26th Oct 2017 Down hill since 2007 When I last played this course in 2007 it was in better condition than it is now. The greens were good but soft which meant a lot of footprints so maybe dont play this course at 2pm. The fairways were terrible, very patchy, lush in some places and bare on others, we needed to play preferred lies. The tees were in good condition. Its a pity about the condition because the layout is great, very varied with some great holes. 5,10, 13 and the last 3 holes are nice and a tough finish. Went down hill since 2007 but still a good layout. |

on Tue, 15th Aug 2017 Definitely worth playing The first course that I have played in Portugal and I was impressed with the layout with a mix of relatively straightforward holes and some really tough ones usually involving water. The greens were very good and if I was being picky, they could have been slightly quicker. A really nice touch at the beginning when my son and I were given a cold bottle of water each when we were given the buggy. |

Hands down the best value for money golf course in the Algarve in my opinion. |

on Fri, 6th May 2016 Enjoyable first round at Quinta da Ria Fairways and tees in very good shape. Rough was lush and thick. Greens a little grainy but running true. All in all a good test of golf. Higher handicappers would be better suited to the black tees and not yellows. |

on Sun, 3rd Apr 2016 Attractive course Nice course to play, with ocean views on several holes. Layout on the first 9 compact at times - we heard 'fore' a lot. Fairways were in pretty good shape. Greens were in good condition, but the areas just outside the greens alternated between clumps of long grass and rock hard dry spots. This is not terrible, but could be better. With the course fully booked, we had 5 hours to finish. |
