This is an attractive first hole with trees running left from the tee. The first stroke should be aimed towards the large bunker right of the centre and leaving a good position to play second shot which is a pitch to green.
Hole 2 (Par 3)
139
120

Fairly easy short hole with bunkers located at the front, left and rear. Careful iron selection is essential.
Hole 3 (Par 4)

The sixth hole is a sweeping dog-leg right after a drive to land between two bunkers. The second shot should be aimed at the marker post to give easier access for the approach stroke.

Hole 10 (Par 4)
380
342
422
335
This tenth hole is the hardest on the course (Stroke Index 1). All down the left is out of bounds and the drive needs to be either short of large bunker in the centre of fairway, or to the right leaving you a choice of going for the green with the next stroke. This will be over a large lake on the right of the fairway all the way to the green. Alternatively, the second shot can be over the very large tree known as The Love Tree
in the middle of the fairway towards the left side of the green and then chip in.
Hole 11 (Par 5)
470
385
482
385
A hole which requires a drive to land between bunkers. The second shot will be over the rise towards the green and then a pitch to a very well guarded green by bunkers. The left side of the whole hole is Out of Bounds.
Hole 12 (Par 4)
270
260
278
260
A short hole for a par 4 keeping the drive to the right of fairway and then with a short second shot to the green. Whilst playing this hole look to your left to view the stunning sight of the coastline from Vila Real de Santo Antonio towards Cabanas and Tavira. Remember to take your camera to capture the essence of the Algarve in all its majesty.
Hole 13 (Par 3)
178
165
188
123
The long par 3 hole has a huge bunker left of the green and two more bunkers on right side. This shot requires accuracy and depending on the wind usually needs to be played with a wood. A good challenge!
Hole 14 (Par 4)
321
250
321
250
This hole is a true par 4 dogleg. Tee drive is a short wood or medium iron to the middle of fairway and then the second shot over a lake to the green ringed to the right an rear with a series of small bunkers.
Hole 15 (Par 4)
356

Hole 16 (Par 5)
450
428
453
417
The sixteenth hole has Out of Bounds on the left and water hazard to the right. The ideal shot from the tee is to aim for the left-hand bunker. The second stroke should avoid the water now on both sides and keeping towards the right side of the fairway. The approach shot to the green is over the left water hazard with bunkers to its rear and to the right.
Hole 17 (Par 3)
150
113
161
105
Depending on the wind, this hole requires a long iron to medium iron to reach the green keeping away from the lake on the right. An ideal approach shot is to come in from the left using the landing area just inside the bunker left of the green.
Hole 18 (Par 4)
385
350
390
335
The eighteenth hole acts as a good finishing hole. The drive from the tee should be to the right side of the fairway making sure you do not reach the left bunker with a tree in the middle. It is a reasonably long second stroke to carry the bunker in front of the green so use the bail out area either short left or the bunker left.
