Great test of golf
Probably the best course condition of all the courses I played. The greens were so quick and true. The course is so much fun, every hole is interesting in its own way and present their own unique challenges. Absolutely superb course and facilities and would gladly play it again

Course was great, however, we didn't complete it. The round was that slow that by the 9th tee 12 players were waiting to tee off. Along with another two groups called it a day after the 9th

Course in great condition, rough is tough!
Course in great condition following reopening after the renovation. Greens not especially fast, but very smooth and true. The real killer is the rough which is a couple of inches long and will swallow your ball.

To be shut for a whilr
We drove past the course yesterday and it looks like Dom Pedro have used their maintenance budget elsewhere. I doubt they plan to reopen Laguna for the foreseeable future. But let's hope it's not shut for good🤞🤞

Nice course.
Looking a little worse for wear round the car parks and tracks this course nevertheless provided a great test with tricky greens and a variety of challenges.

Greens very good.

Happy Golfers
Laguna, is fairly standard in terms of presentation, difficulty, & condition & this is obviously reflected in the price of the green fee, but still a good experience.

Joué deux fois sur ce parcours, les ferway et les greens sont parfaits, la longueur des par 4 de la folie, pour nous.

Large ferway et greens bien défendu

Laguna - in great condition
Laguna has improved in recent years and is in great condition with some very testing water holes. The course looks good and we always find it an enjoyable challenge.

We were a group of 5 split into a 3 and 2 and played Pinhal on day 1 and then Laguna day 2 with another trip to Pinhal day 3.

Laguna is the more challenging with lots of water and some interesting slopes on the greens. The greens are not ridiculously fast (like La Manga last year!) which gave us a fighting chance of some decent scores, and fun!. Very well run course and a nice steady pace all the way round, plenty of time to make use of the buggy bar for some ice cold refreshment!. Speaking as a very average (Hcp 21ish) social Golfer I would say definitely well worth a visit but there is no shame in taking the easier routes around the water rather than trying to smash it over and ruining your score/day.

Ageing Course.
Laguna was the only low quality experience for us, the starter was very grumpy compared to the other courses and the course In general wasn't in great shape for the amount of money we are paying to play it, having played this course several times in previous years both me and my brother thought that the overall quality of the course had gone down hill a little.

Nice Course - bad Restaurant
The courses of the Dom Pedro Group are all very nice and well maintained.

However, it is completely incomprehensible that only one single menu is offered in all of the group's clubhouses - and even that is not really breathtaking.

I am therefore not surprised that very few of the guests there eat something - after the third time you have just seen it. Too bad.

Great course, great facilities and great location. The food in the restaurant was great as well as the ability to have a shower after the game. As a first time visitor I would have preferred to have played with someone else though although this was not possible due to the course not being busy.

Some very tricky holes with lots of water, but a challenge non the same.

Challenging course ,especially if it is windy .
Course was in lovely condition , practice facilities were excellent and staff were fantastic .

The day we played however ,it was very windy ,and made a testing course extremely difficult for us 16 handicappers .

Would like to play again when it calmer .

Scenic course
Fantastic course, greens in good condition at the moment. Tee'd off at 8am and avoided the worst of the hot weather. Looking at it would avoid teeing off between 12 & 3 to as not to get the hottest weather.

Absolut must. the course is well maintained and the green are beautifull . We enjoyed this course despite all the bunkers surrounding mostly every greens. Holes are not that difficult if you avoid the bunkers....hole number 17 and 18 are the taffest. great time , welcoming is perfect with algarvegolf.net everywhere we have been.the only downside is the price 170 plus 45 for the buggy...a luxury round but not regret. You could walk the course is fairly flat.

Nice but not too challenging. Course and greens in decent condition.

Cart rental is the most expensive I’ve ever had. and they weren’t even cleaned from the previous guests. Neither ice nor water were provided. :-(

Family golf day Laguna
Had a great morning golf , course in excellent condition, we got grouped with a member who showed us around, which was helpful. Greens were a good pace and very receptive. Only downside was losing to my brother in law, first time in years , every dog has its day. Will be back soon. Also carried in 35 degree heat, no problem!!

Laguna Matata!!!
This is my favourite oceanico course. The water hazards and high grass make placement essential. Veering off the fairways can lead to serious trouble.

We got there early and the starter was kind enough to let us go on straight away with no problem. The course was quiet-ish, but picked up as the round went on.

It’s a really beautiful course and was one of the highlights of the trip.

My dad left the head cover of his putter in the golf cart, but the staff held on to it for him as they knew we were returning the next day. Excellent service from all, which is no surprise.

This was the third year in a row we’d played here, and we’ll be regular visitors moving forward.

It may be the cheapest, but not the worst course
Very challenging course with bunkers and water everywhere. If you are offline, unlike the other Vilamoura courses you are severely punished. Greens were good and we tee'd of at 8.24. We had a buggy and whizzed around in under 3 hours.

An excellent course. Very well maintained.

Challenging, especially for me, a high handicapper, but a very varied lay out.

Greens are very well protected by numerous bunkers.

Pace of play on the slow side - 4 hours 50 minutes is too long.

Will play here again.

Thank you

Not bad at all
Great greens, nowhere near as bad as some reports I've seen. Greens have a decent pace and roll, fairways are dry. A good choice for first round on holiday and any single figure golfer should have a good chance of breaking par here off the yellows.

Great value for money
Considering the price difference between this course and it's more famous neighbors I was expecting this unimpressed with this course. This wasn't the case at all, well kept fairways, some challenging holes and impressive greens made for a very enjoyable game of golf. Very reasonably priced compared to other courses in the area.

Great golf course that offers a different golf challenge and experience.

course not particularly spectacular, but in good shape. Tee boxes and greens in good condition, fairways cut very short, makes them good to play, but in turn with slightly burnt grass. greens a bit too fast for my taste and not easy to read (hdcp 23.9). course flat and easy to walk, even without trolley.

Laguna - Take extra balls!
I love this course and there isn't as much water as I remember, however where there is water sometimes it's all carry. Very flat, easy to walk. In good condition.
on Sun, 21st May 2017
Very untidy... bare lies and badly graded rough.

The local ball thieves got 3 of mine and sweetened my mood immeasurably.

We also got put out with a pair who refused to engage in a meaningful conversation...Belfast boys find it hard to play in silence...we think they may have been Special Branch...ball thieves of no interest to them.

Disappointing course but 19 hole made up for it..sadly Special Branch did not join us.

Less than impressed
Threes stars as the course was not in good condition, especially fairways.Given the price we expected better.

Secondly, they have a system of tee times for front and back nine.Hence you can complete the first nine then have to wait 30 minutes before you are allowed to contine. This sucks.

Slow Laguna
The staff we're friendly and polite. The condition of the course was OK, but certainly not up to the standard of Quinta or VDL. First 9 holes was played in 2 hours, next 9 holes took 3 hours as the course management put 3 x 4 balls out in front of our group without giving reason, this not only added an extra hour to our round but we waited to tee off on every hole.... would not return.
