I don't appreciate paying €125 and then being told after 7 holes to speed up. I played with three very nice gentlemen, two of which were in their 80's and one in their 70's. We completed the round on a tough course in 4 hours 10 mins which I believe is very good. Other than that a good course with great company. |

Quinta da Ria on Sat, 10th Aug 2024 Don’t book this course Never got to play. Booked the course more than a month ago. Arrived and was told the course was closed for maintenance and told us we were not booked anyway no record of our booking. They then found the booking and said we could play the following day. Hard to do when you have booked a golf holiday with confirmed courses every day. They then found our booking and offered us a game in the Cima course which we accepted. As we had no where else to go. Was told that Cima was the championship course when they played all their competitions. We have played more than 20 courses on our current trip and this was the worse. Course in general in poor condition not worth the green fee. Would be happy to get a refund but as we know that will never happen. Spoke to another group on the course who had a similar experience, had booked but were not told course was closed for the day. Very disappointed. |

Although not a long course the gradients, trees and doglegs make this a course were you need to plot your way round. Bar and pro shop very helpful. |

This course was in fantastic condition and would be recommended all the time, however, the huge downside is that it took nearly FIVE hours to play for two if us in a buggy. Unacceptable, two groups of younger golfers held up the course. Why no course Marshall particularly as they state on their cards four-ball should only take four hours. |

Round took a little over 4hrs which was good as the course did look busy but we never really waited for play a shot. Lovely views along the coast. Greens and fairways were in good condition. Although being a 40min drive from my house in Almancil I will make the effort to go back soon. Practice areas were outstanding. |

Benamor on Thu, 4th Aug 2022 Benamor Golf Club - ok visit Booking was very straightforward and with no issues. Teeing off at 11.04 which was the earliest that day for discounted play meant it was very warm. I booked a trolley but in hindsight should have had a buggy. I hired clubs, which were adequate but very basic and well used. Definitely recommend taking your own if possible. The fairways and greens were surprisingly lush considering the heat. Not much run on the fairways which could have been cut a little shorter. Greens were very receptive when played into. Stunning views of the sea and mountains. Holes were relatively short for average golfers. Make sure you book a return taxi as getting one in the afternoon was impossible and had to wait an hour and a half before being told there were non available! Staff not really interested in making an experience. |

Nice touch the buggy we hired was park right by the pro shop and water fir each of us was provided. The course itself is first class and provides a real challenge with a multitude of bunkers and water to navigate around as well as trees ! The condition of the whole course we could not fault with the greens being superb and quick. The clubhouse again was super with friendly staff throughout the resort. Will be going back 👍 |

It’s expensive to play and yet I struggle to remember any of the holes - they all feel the same. Not my cup of tea. It seems to be a course that’s designed to get as many players through as possible. You feel like you are on a conveyor belt. |

Some great views on the coastal part of the course and some interesting and challenging holes. Great condition, pleasant staff and nice lunch on the clubhouse patio. Well worth a visit.
