Tolle Aussicht aufs Meer
Kurze aber sehr abwechslungsreiche Bahnen; es lohnt sich, diesen 9-Loch Platz 2x zu spielen.

Great course
Great course, lots of water, and the fairways were great and greens superb and true. Very reasonable for both green fee and club hire. Would definitely play here again.

Salgados ... again!
Can't get enough of this course, so much fun! Water everywhere, and there is usually a stiff breeze coming in from the coast which is a couple of hundred yards from the course, so all in all a great challenge. If you hit the ball straight you should score well. If not, well you can always go for a paddle.

Along with VDL Ocean this is one of my favourite courses on the Algarve.

Course in great condition early Sept-20. The greens had been spiked and sanded (but not butchered) a week or two before but were great to putt on.

Great clubhouse!
Loved the course, quite open considering how much water is about. Greens slow

Lovely little course with a brilliant academy set up and well kept. Rented clubs are ok for high handicapper’s like myself.

Very good, greens could be better
Beautiful course, very good fairways. Challenging but fun, with really good clubs rental. Only issue was the greens were all top layered with sand, which wasn’t ideal.

Pine Cliffs - for a stimulating round of golf
Lovely course that allowed my son and I to get back into our golf.

Variety of holes allowed us to test our long and short game; accuracy and variety of shots.

Pricey for what it is
Very short par 3 9 hole course, nicely maintained and a good workout for your short game but at £45 for 18 holes with hire clubs and 3 balls costing £10 not exactly value for money.

The course is amazing! A real test of mid iron, short iron, wedges, chipping, putting. Play here enough and your skill can only improve.

The greens matched the quality of the more famous courses in the Algarve where you pay 70 euros or more (maybe better). Manicured fairways and bunkers that would not be out of place on any local championship course. This place is looked after and who ever is in charge, knows what there doing. A real pleasure to play.

My only negative is there is no 9 hole pricing option and 18 holes at around 30 euros may put some people off for a par 3 course, when 18 holes twilight is available at full length courses for a similar price. I do feel however the quality of the course you are getting pretty much matches the asking price.

Here is a summary of the holes, distances from the back tees but second tee option available.

The 1st hole eases you in, around 70 yards down hill. Good chance of a 3 if you find the putting surface.

2nd hole was playing 170 yards with the miss being left, trees on the right. I didnt think there would be any holes this long! Mid or long iron or even a wood. A 3 here and you've done amazingily well.

The 3rd hole is around 70 yards up hill, hows your wedge distance control?

Cross the road onto a seperate bit of land for the next 2 holes. The 4th was playing 180 yards into wind! This is no pitch and putt. OB left and bunker greenside right. Hardest hole on course along side the 2nd.

The 5th takes you back running along side the 4th, around 110 yards. OB left, the miss is right. Play to the left of the green and the ball feeds down into the centre of the green.

Back over the road and a good chance of par on the 6th. A wedge down hill but there is trouble long.

7 was playing 155 and you can only just see the top of the flag, great looking hole. The miss is left, lots of room. Anything right of the green will kick further right and feed into a hazard and likely be lost.

The 8th is slightly up hill playing 140 yards. There is a large tree/shrub feature short right of the green, likely lost ball or unplayable. The miss is long and left.

The closing hole is around 100 yards down hill to a mackenzie green, pin position was at the back of green on top tier. OB long.

Sorry to say....
This is an easy course to play and to walk. no undulation at all. Flat as a pancake. t-boxes in poor condition. fairways not much better. Greens fairly okay. overall unlikely to play the course again.

Not a ‘real ‘ golf course. No par 5’s and only a 9 hole course. Although the par 3 , 6th is a flagship hole!!

A nice leisurely walk for a golf beginner and a fantastic starting holiday abroad course for a lady beginner.

Also poor rental clubs- Wilson or Cleveland only....thx

Spoilt by the weather
Course condition was fine and staff helpful and efficient. Round was at a reasonable pace. Food service a little slow. You have to be able to hit it straight . Had to stop at half way in view of the unforecasted storms but that’s not the golf course’s fault!

Plain and boring
Long and flat the only interest is the water but that is not too hard to navigate. Staff in bar area slow and unfriendly.

practice facilities poor with one large driving net, chipping area in need or serious repair

Mr Cutler
Second time round this course this year, in May the fairways were much better. But after a summer of buggies charging around on an easily walkable course, the wear and tear is now showing.

Still a fun course to play and never lost a ball, so I beat the water this time.

Way to expensive
Not a bad little par 3 course but way to expensive. €35 for a box of pinnacle golf balls on top of €45 for a round with clubs that are way below average.

Hopeful but disappointing
Course ok and picturesque but golf was spoiled by playing in a 3-ball behind a large(50 ) society that reduced the round to over 5.5 hours. Post-round, 1 person serving refreshments couldn’t cope with the number of drinkers so after ordering a meal, I was told they had to stop serving food to focus on the bar. Left thirsty and hungry.

Relaxing golf
Relaxing course if you can stay out the water, and there is a lot of water to avoid. The course was in good condition. Suitable for all.

Starter was friendly and helpful and equipment was in good order.

You have to play it once in a lifetime...
Nice course, rather simple, no par 5, most holes 300-320 meters. The famous hole 6 (over the cliff) is only 135 from the yellow teebox, but the view is spectacular.

Quite expensive, and driving range balls are not included (€ 6 for 40 balls).

Nice restaurant, friendly staff.

Relaxing and pleasant track but grossly overpriced
Course conditioning average, greens pitted with pitchmarks and occasionally poor quality. A relaxing, well laid out track and not over challenging, although two or three testing holes. Green fee extortionate for what you actually get, and whilst a fantastic view from 6th, not enough to get you to return at these rates.

Very good but could be first class
Good design, well planned, water hazards in play but a fair course for good golf. Greens pitted with so many pitchmarks, reflecting on visitors lack of etiquette rather than course maintenance. Bunkers were poor quality generally and course conditioning could be improved given still growing weather. A very nice course however, worth a visit.

Ok if you like water
Far too much water hazard, felt like every shot could go in the drink. More water than fairway with half decent shots being punished. Course was in good condition but far too busy, having to wait 10 mins on each tee, which was also probably due too the amount of balls going in the water. I'd say you have to play off single figures to stand any chance of enjoying course. Much better courses in the Algarve.

Salgados golf course review
Great American style course with lots of challenging holes with water on quite a few holes. Flat course but you need to be able to keep the Ball in play to score. Fast greens but lovely to putt on. A course you have to think your way around. Good short game area and putting greens. No driving range but there is a great practice net where you can warm up your swing. Good bar and restaurant.

Sunday afternoon at Pine cliffs
Not really challenging, but relaxing to play on a hot sunny Sunday afternoon. Fairways were good, greens had a lot off pitchmarks and the bunkers looked like they had never been raked before. Staff was friendly, but they worked as to be expected on a Sunday in Portugal.
