Balaia green fees Fri, 16th Jun 2017 hi il be in balaia for the week of the 6th to 13th august , i would like to book some early morning green fees , on any morning of that week , i wouldnt mind joining other golfers , im a member of cobh golf club in cork ireland, and i have a handicap of 21. i would be very greatful ... regards Bernadette |

Salgados Thu, 1st Jun 2006 Salgados was the venue of a competition on the 8th APDC (Portuguese Assn. for Communications Development) calendar on 20th May, organised by Sr. Joao Patricio and his team from the publishers of Clubehouse Magazine. Apart from association members and sponsors the field included guests from the host club, the Architect's and Barmen's golf societies, and the press. Pedro Real scored 40 Stableford points to take the men's net prize, and the ladies was won by Gloria Carr with 33 points. Paul Pingo returned the best gross score of 37 points. |

Balaia Mon, 1st Nov 2004 Ever since the Balaia nine-hole par-3 course near Albufeira opened in 2001 they have held regular tournaments. Thanks this year to the generosity of Graeme and Christine Mitchell from Scotland a new permanent annual Cup has been presented to Balaia. For those unfamiliar with the Scottish word 'quaich', this is a wide, silver 'cup of kindness' traditionally filled with whisky and passed round from one person to another. There were 62 players in the tournament played on an aggregate stroke-play pairs format, and the two-some of J. M. Rodrigues and Joao Figueiredo won with a net score of 55 strokes (1 over par). |
