Check in was very easy and Staff were all friendly. The course was busy but pace of play moved well and we took around 4.5hrs to play the 18 holes. The Course is not maintained in terms of unfilled divots on the fairways, which was disappointing. Vale do Lobo should make it mandatory for every player to carry a Sand Bags on their Golf Trolley/Bag and provide Bottles of Sand on each Cart, so that divots can be filled in on the fairways. Also despite signs on every flag on the greens, players were failing to repair their pitch marks.We also noticed that the Greenkeeping Staff are allowing the Kikuyu grass to encroach onto the Greens which will negatively affect the putting surface, unless they work on this very soon.In summary, we were slightly disappointed with Vale Do Lobo Ocean Course, in terms of the maintenance of the course, and would choose other better maintained courses in the area, to get our value for money in the future.

A beautiful course, well maintained and we would love to play this course again in the future. A special mention to Vitor in the check in office/shop, for being so helpful.
