The chef Dona Leontina has a busy time in the summer with her Portuguese cuisine which is imaginative or straightforward depending on the seafood chosen. Ideally located overlooking the Fishing Port of Baleeira it enjoys a splendid and appropriate location in Sagres. Adequate parking.

The restaurant is located on the main avenue halfway between the Marina and the centre of Lagos. It is basically a large open room with a wood ceiling and a kitchen at one end. It also has a separate room at the back for smokers. It enjoys a special popularity with tourists and locals for its busy atmosphere and reasonably priced food. It is likely that there will be live music to add to the general cheerful atmosphere of diners. Diners may have to queue.

This small Tasca style restaurant has built a solid reputation for its own versions of regional traditional dishes. They menu ranges across seafood to a specialty named Cabidela which is a cock served with rice stewed in the blood of the cock. It can be found just off the main square in this small town and there should be adequate parking. A word of warning, in the summer evenings it will be very busy due to its reputation within the Portuguese residents and tourists.

If you have a hungry family to feed this is the place. Large canteen style restaurant with many rooms and a garden. They offer a very limited grill menu with big portions at sensible prices. Sit on benches in a rustic decor with a noisy fun ambience. Located on the EN 125 at Torre east of Lagos in a rustic stone building. No reservations are accepted and adequate parking area.

Known locally as the place for a reasonably smart restaurant for an evening meal. Good food served in pleasant surroundings with a menu of well presented regional and International dishes. In the distant past this restaurant was the first place in the Algarve to enjoy a Michelin Star. Located in the old main street with tables in the front up to the left from the main square in Lagos.

Friendly and very popular especially in season. A Danish chef presents an interesting menu of meat dishes and other tasty items. A reservation is recommended in season and parking is on the side of main the road.

Located to the south of Lagos above the Camilo Beach. Perched on top of the cliff over the beach the restaurant enjoys a magnificent view across the Bay of Lagos. The food like the atmosphere is fresh and appealing with a generous outside terrace area. Efficient service with attractively presented dishes at sensible prices. Popular throughout the year it is recommended to reserve a table for lunch - especially in high season. The parking is basically on the side of the small road down to the access to the the beach.

A very popular restaurant all year. Located just off the Lagos to Sagres road known as the Estrada Nacional 125, the restaurant is to found on the left after the Almadena traffic lights. Situated in an old house and the dining area is decorated with a suitable rustic taste. The cover is so sufficient that an entrae is not strictly necessary. The portions are generous and the evening out is rewarded with port in a magnificent huge goblet and then a photograph to add to their immense collection. Reservation recommended.

A really very small restaurant which is popular more for its cuisine than its decor. Definitely requires prior reservation. The French chef uses the local produce to bring a pure touch of France to his cuisine. Locating the restaurant is not easy as it is tucked away in a small residential area between the river front and highest point of Lagos.

This small gourmet restaurant is in the very capable hands of a German chef, Christoph Voigt. It has a charming atmosphere and overlooks the beach just off the main road running along Meia Praia. His cuisine style is fine dining and there is a choice between a la carte or gourmet. We strongly recommend a reservation should be made in the season as they have few tables and the restaurant enjoys fame amongst local residents.
