Golf in Albufeira

The town of Albufeira economic situation immensely improved with the advent of tourism to the Algarve and the construction of Faro Airport in the 1960s. For night entertainment in Albufeira there is a plentiful choice of bars, restaurants and clubs. To the east of Albufeira there is a road known as the 'Strip' lined with bars and places to eat. It has built an internationally reputation for its nightlife. Whilst on the west side of the town is the Boat Marina which provides a more sophisticated atmosphere with its many yachts and quayside bars and restaurants.

On the west side of Albufeira is the 18-hole Salgados Golf Course which is a 'Links' style of course and which includes many water hazards. There are also two well kept popular 9-hole courses on the east side of the town, the Pine Cliffs Golf Course and the Balaia Golf Course.

Within comfortable driving distance are holiday two destinations for the entertainment of the whole family. The Zoomarine' park has dolphins, animals and various other attractions. The other is the water park 'Aqualand Algarve' which is open during the summer season.

A really nice course, not too difficult and very enjoyable. Notable hole being the 6th which makes a challenging shot over a ravine . Enjoyed myself so much I returned the next day and played again

Nice course.... Bring plenty of balls!
The first course of our trip and a really enjoyable start. A well maintained, interesting and challenging course (especially the Par 5's when the wind gets up) with water on every hole. The staff were really friendly and welcoming too. Would definitely return to play Salgados in future

Excellent!
Brilliant par 3 course, very challenging. Hire clubs were more than satisfactory. Would recommend to bring your own golf balls however as this racked up an additional cost.
