Spanish Jorge Campillo won his second title on the European Tour in Doha in a play-off against Scotland's David Drysdale. In equal third place one further stoke more were tied Niklas Memke, Kalle Sooja and Jeff Winther. Jorge Campillo moved to 14th place in the Race to Dubai and 84th in the World Rankings.

JC Ritchie led a group of fellow South Africans by two strokes to a maiden victory on the Challenge Tour in Modimolle in South Africa. In second place was Wilco Nienaber followed by Hennie du Plessis and Jacques Kruyswijk. JC Ritchie moved into 161st position in the World Rankings and 85th in the Race to Dubai.

Jon Rahm from Spain claimed the important title of being the World Tour Champion which he added to his five European Tour wins. Jon Rahm on the final day led the field ending with one less stroke to his nearest rival Tommy Fleetwood from England. With only one more stroke Mike Lorenzo-Vera from France finished in third place. With this win Jon Rahm moved to third position in the World Rankings.

South African Tommy Fleetwood claimed his fifth title on the European Tour in South Africa when he won in a play-off against Sweden's Marcus Kinhult. The Challenge Tour Grande Final that took place on Mallorca was won by Francisco Laporta from France's Robin Sciat-Siegrist and Germany's Sebastian Heisele. This gave Francisco Laporta his second win on the Challenge Tour and moved him to 117th place in the World Rankings.

In a very competitive six player play-off on the final day Tyrell Hutton from England was the victor to win the title. The other five players were Benjamin Herbert, Victor Perez, Kurt Kitayama, Matthias Schwab and Erik von Rooyen This was his fourth win on the European Tour placing him 30th in the World Rankings and sixth in the Race to Dubai.

Rory McIlroy from Northern Ireland was pushed to a play-off against American golfer Xander Schauffele. This victory brought his European Tour wins up to a grand total of fourteen. In third place with two strokes more was South African Louis Oosthuizen. Rory McIlroy moved to second place in the World Rankings and 5th in the Race to Dubai.

As from the 24th of October to the 27th the European Tour will be again hosted on the Victoria Course in Vilamoura. This event had attracted some of the finest players which will include Martin Kaymer, Padraig Harrington, Matt Wallace, Oliver Fisher and Lucas Bjerregaard amongst others. The owners have been investing money in improving the general composition of the course fairways to provide an even more testing event.

Polish golfer made golfing golfing history by winning his maiden title of the '57th Open de Portugal' in the Algarve and the first Pole to win on the European Tour. Two strokes more was Spanish player Sebastian-Garcia Rodriguez. Placed equal third were Italian Francesco Laporta and Austrian Martin Wiegele. Adrian Meronk moved to 263rd position in the World Rankings and 7th place in the Challenge Tour Rankings.

Local golfer Danny Willett gained the PGA Championship title making his total of seven on the European Tour. Three strokes more in second place was Spain's Jon Rahm, whilst South African Christiaan Beguidenhout was third with one more stroke. Danny Willett moved to 58th place in the World Rankings and 9th in the Race to Dubai.

England's David Shacklady won the Paris Legends in a play-off with Frances's Jean-Francis Remesy with South African James Kingston coming in third. This was David Shacklady's third win on the Senior Tour and placed him in fourth position in the Senior Ranking.

In a crowded play-off Sweden's Sebastian Soderburg against four other golfers won his maiden title on the European Tour in Switzerland. His fellow competitors were Lorenzo Gagli from Italy, Rory McIlroy from Northern Ireland, Andreas Romero from Argentina and Kalle Samooja from Finland. Sebastian Soderburg moved to 287th place in the World Rankings and 47th position in the Race to Dubai.

Dutch player Darius van Driel won his second title by one stroke on the Challenge Tour in Switzerland.
