Alamos

We love this course, actually far more that its sister course, Morgado. Alamos has some interesting holes, the views of the Monchique mountains are lovely, its a challenge for medium and high handicaps, and its usually very quiet (because most visitors to the region opt for Morgado. They dont know what theyre missing!

Absolutely lovely!The course was in excellent condition. It provides a challenge for good players but is not too difficult for the rabbits amongst us.

Looking at past reviews, many would disagree but we think that this is the best course in the Western Algarve. Its opening and closing holes meander between the resorts villas, whilst the middle holes are in more open countryside where old farm buildings add to the scenery. Well maintained and a fair test for all handicaps.

Our favourite course in the Western Algarve.Its a challenge for gifted players and fair for the not so gifted.A little damage from wild boarsGreen were a little inconsistentThere is no putting area in the Boavista Academy.

This course was in dreadful condition.Wild boars have caused damage in many areas but that wasnt the main problem.The fairways were patchy in place (i,e, with no grass), and had weeds growing out in other places. It appears that they hadnt been watered for weeks.The greens were consistent, save for one which was a temporary one, caused by boar damage on the real green.Overall, it appears the Pennina Group ploughs its funds into the championship course and ignores the Resort course. Very disappointing. We will never return.

Really enjoyable and challenging par 3 course.The course was in lovely condition though one member of the party was disappointed when his rubbish shot on the seventeenth hit the microscopically small bamboo forest!Seriously ..... loved it!
