What a great challenge. Really entertaining and unique course. Greens in superb condition and some very challenging holes that might spook some, especially when windy. Obviously brand new, so fairways and greens lacking depth of grass roots but in time this will change and the course will improve. Likewise the clubhouse is not complete yet but this did not distract from the enjoyment. As the course becomes busier it could get very slow as suspect lots will be looking for golf balls and a few holes cross over meaning waiting for players to finish a hole before teeing off, i.e the first. 6 par 3’s and 5 par 5’s means it has the fewest par 4’s i’ve played, hence the uniqueness. Walking is not possible, buggys i presume are mandatory. I look forward to playing again though especially when more mature.

First time I played this course and I found it a bit odd. Its really set up for those who hit the ball 170-220 yards off the tee. For longer hitters, theres so many blind shots and a lot of slicing required, not fading, slicing. Back nine was a bit better but nearly all the greens are on slopes and the pins were set right on the edge with the only consolation being the greens were fairly slow. I can see why a high handicapper would like it but for those who need to get on the green in two, in some cases this was almost impossible. Add to this the greens and the tees are often very near each other and approach shots of other golfers are often very near the tee box, or even on it, it felt very tight and at times a bit dangerous. Its not a course Id rush back to.

Played this course many times and always a pleasure returning. Pace of play was excellent, it can be very slow sometimes but managed 18 holes in 3.5 hours in a 3 ball. There has been some work done on the course to improve the buggy paths but buggies dont have navigation which is a shame as without a distance finder its harder to judge some holes. Pitch marks are also a small problem due to the high volume of traffic… we played at 8.50am, i imagine by 3 pm some greens would resemble a golf ball. Overall though a very nice course if not a bit pricey with a buggie.

Played this may 2022 when there was a large society booked and was therefore paired up with 2 others to make a 4 ball and feared how long it would take. Initial few holes were slow but it sped up quite quickly and we completed a 4 ball in 4 hours 15. The fairways seemed a little overplayed but the greens were very good condition and whilst a couple of holes only require irons of tees, there are plenty of long holes, especially the back nine. Lots of water and lots of shouts of fore as it is quite enclosed and flat and a stroke saver would have helped, but there are some pretty decent holes and it exceeded my initial expectations. As a comparison, probably better than laguna but not quite as good as millennium but at 70 euros if you can get a deal, worth a go.

First time i played one of the quinta do lago courses and was not disappointed. Great condition, good blend of challenging and risk reward holes. Fairways excellent, greens were very good, especially for this time of year and after a lot of rain. Bunkers were quality, nice shapes and sizes and the clubhouse and setting were top class. Not cheap, but definitely worth it.

Played this course a few times and never fails to impress. Always immaculate condition, some super holes and in my view the best course in the area. Didn’t get a chance to enjoy the restaurant due to covid but have previously and no faults at all. If you are in vilamoura, this is a must play course.

Has potential to be much better. The layout was really good, no silly holes and a few real challenges. Fairways in v good condition but tee boxes were overgrown and badly prepared and the greens are struggling from a bit of infection, as well as being far too long. Course felt like it hadnt been looked after for the last week or two so should have been a bit cheaper. Putting green was not usable and course lacks distance markers to greens. However, cut the greens and redo the tee boxes and it’s a championship course but in current state, the old course and victoria offer much better value.
