Very good course. The greens were excellent but the tees were poor which you tend to find with a lot of Bermuda grass courses. The fairways were decent and the layout was varied which was good. It has 3 x 9 hole loops. I played the Pines which was tree lined but quite wide so you could be slightly wide and get away with it. The other I played was the Olives which has the infamous island green par 3. I would play again.

When I last played this course in 2007 it was in better condition than it is now. The greens were good but soft which meant a lot of footprints so maybe dont play this course at 2pm. The fairways were terrible, very patchy, lush in some places and bare on others, we needed to play preferred lies. The tees were in good condition. Its a pity about the condition because the layout is great, very varied with some great holes. 5,10, 13 and the last 3 holes are nice and a tough finish. Went down hill since 2007 but still a good layout.

The first three and last two holes are dull and uninspiring but in between is an excellent course. Great ocean views when teeing off on a number of holes. The tees and greens were in 5 star condition. The fairways were a bit patchy which is to be expected on a links course. If it wasnt for the fairways and the start and finish I would have rated this course 5 star.

The condition of this course is excellent and the service from the staff is also great but I didnt like the layout. The back nine is very hilly and there are too many bunkers. I thought Jack Nicklaus liked bunkers on his course designs but Faldo has taken it to a new level. We had a buggy but I say this course would be impossible to play and enjoy without a buggy unless you have legs like Chris Hoy. The walk from 11 to 12 you need a Sherpa.
